The Canadian Society of Transplantation (CST) hosts an annual conference, which will take place in Oct 2023. Researchers and clinicians submit summaries of their research (scientific abstracts and lay/plain language summaries) which are reviewed by their peers from the scientific committee, and also by patient-family-donor partners to determine their suitability for teh conference. Top rated abstracts are also selected for awards, with 2 awards for the best lay/plain language summaries, selected by PFD partners.

Expérience requise

PFD partners with an interest in reviewing about new scientific research in transplantation and/or donation, from Canadian and international researchers and trainees. 

Rôles potentiels pour les partenaires PFD

Read and provide scores on lay/plain language summaries using an online portal, and a scoring sheet. We will aim to have 10-12 patient partners. Time commitment - review about 12-14 abstracts, about 4-5 hours total, in the month of June

Remboursement

$50 per hour - to be discussed with CDTRP PFD manager
